# MBAC Skill 02: Counseling Prep

| | |
|---|---|
| **Version** | v1.0 (2026-07-27) |
| **Workflow** | A, Client Intake & Counseling |
| **Lead indicator it moves** | Sessions held (quality and conversion) |
| **Process owner** | Vivian Watkins (proposed, confirm) |
| **Built from (Anthropic plugin)** | `sales:call-prep` |
| **Customized by** | MBAC Context Document + this file |

## Trigger

A 30-minute counseling session is booked (Calendly confirmation lands).

## Inputs / Context needed

- The client's intake record + enrichment briefing from the connected store
- The MBAC Context Document
- Any prior session summaries for returning clients

## Steps

1. The day before the session, paste the MBAC Context Document, this file, and the client's record into Claude.
2. Ask for a one-page prep sheet:
   - Who they are and what they asked for, in two sentences
   - What we already know (from intake + enrichment), so you never make them repeat themselves
   - The 3 most likely needs (certification, capital, contracts, operations) with one good question for each
   - Which MBAC services and outside partners probably fit
   - One thing NOT to assume
3. Read it in two minutes before the session. You run the meeting; the sheet just means you walk in already knowing them.
4. After the session, hand off to Skill 03 (Counseling Summary).

## Human checkpoint (Zone 2)

The counselor reads and owns the prep sheet. If anything looks off against the record, trust the record and your judgment, not the AI summary.

## Safety & disclosure

Prep stays internal. The session itself is Zone 3: the human relationship. AI never joins the meeting; it only preps you for it and summarizes after (with disclosure and consent for any recording).

## Output & where it lands

A one-page prep sheet attached to the client record in the connected store.

## Customization moves (Adopt, Customize, Rename)

1. **Adopt:** Anthropic `sales:call-prep` plugin skill.
2. **Customize:** MBAC service catalog, referral partners, counselor question style.
3. **Rename & anchor:** "MBAC Counseling Prep," anchored to sessions held.
